I have lived long enough to have had three distinct careers and I have now come full circle and returned to my first career and first love – art. At this phase in my art, I have taken my illustration and graphic design background and incorporated them into my current fiber work. While some of my pieces are taken straight from my observations of the physical world, others seem to grow from fragments of dreams or memories. My work uses a variety of techniques including traditional piecing, fusing, and raw-edged appliqué as well as bobbin sewing and thread painting. More and more, I am using natural elements in my work which may include fur, leather, bones and feathers.
